How to Set up Auto Ads on your WordPress Website
We are going to see how to set up Auto Ads on your website in this post. Auto Ads are a new way to improve the way ads are shown on your pages. It also identifies spaces on your website where a new ad could go. It incorporates machine learning to analyze what ads need to be shown to your visitors and does everything on your behalf. So you don’t have to move a muscle.
So I am assuming, you have just opened your Google Adsense account and you have noticed adsense flaring a new feature called the Auto ads.
If you can’t find the above message, just check your email ID. Google has sent this new feature email to everyone who is using Google Adsense.
Just click on Set Up Now to get started.
Steps on How to Set up Auto Ads for your WordPress Website
Before proceeding I would recommend you take a backup of your WordPress site, because any wrong changes could cause the whole site to crash. Just follow these steps and you will be fine:
Step 1: Click on Get Started Button right after clicking on the Set up Now button shown in the picture above.
You will be navigated to a different page that says Choose Global settings.
Step 2: Choose the ads you wish to pick, scroll to the bottom and then click on Save button:
The next page is where your auto – ad code will be.
Step 3: Just click on the copy code snippet button
Step 4: Now navigate to the dashboard of your site and click on Appearance menu located on the left hand side. It will flare open another menu. Click on Editor option:
Step 5: Look for the header file in the right hand side of the page. Click it open:
Step 6: Paste the copied snippet code inside the <head> tag. So it should be before </head> closes. You can place it anywhere really but make sure it is between the <head> opening and </head> closing tag.
After you have clicked on Update File, you might get a message right above the button that might give you a confirmation:
Step 7: You can now click on the Done button of the Auto-ads tab:
As you can see it says “You’ve now got Auto ads”. Wait for the changes to reflect. It might take around 45 minutes for the changes to get reflected.
