The intent of this chapter is to tell you how to add Social Media Links to Youtube Channel. Wait! You could do that?

The answer to that is yes. The main benefit of doing so is that your Youtube Channel Art or banner wouldn’t look sad. People will have options to navigate to your social media account. You could also increase your traffic considerably on all kinds of platforms.

Those who prefer watching your updated stuff on Facebook or Twitter could easily do so by a single click of a button. Wouldn’t you want that?

With this tutorial, I would like to help you out to understand how to add Social Media Links to Youtube Channel in a simple easy to understand way.

How to Add Social Media Links to Youtube Channel

I will hereby create a step by step process for you to help you fathom how to add social media links to Youtube Channel. Yeah literally spoonfeed you. Follow the following steps:

Step 1: Open your Youtube Channel and navigate to My Channel page, you know, where you can see the Youtube Album Art or Banner clearly.

If you don’t know how to navigate there just click on your Page symbol and then on “My Channel” option to navigate there:

When you navigate there you will get a page that might look something like this:

It will have all your videos lined up below, and will have the name of your Youtube Channel, logo and everything.

Step 2: Click on the Edit Layout button at the right-hand side of the screen.

UPDATE 1: Google has changed this option and now has replaced it with Customize Channel. Look for that option:

Step 3: It will take you to a similar screen but it will have more options this time. Here this is what you will get:

The good news is that when you take your mouse towards the top end of your Youtube cover this time you will have an edit option available. Just go ahead and do that, and you will get something like this:

Out of this one will be the Edit Links option.

Step 5: Just click on it.

If Edit Links Option is Not Present

There might be times when you might not get the “Edit Links” option there. In order to retrieve that option, simply click on the Settings clog located right next to your Subscribe button option.

It will open a small dialog box titled “Channel Settings” like this:

Just click on the switch next to “Customize the layout of your channel option” making it blue. Then click on Save. It will do the trick.

After Clicking on Edit Links Option

When you click on Edit Links option you will be redirected to the following About page of your website. There you will have an option to add your social media links.

Links option still not showing?

Don’t worry! Just click on the Edit Layout button and it will begin to show:

It is here where you can start adding your social media links.

Step 7: Click on Add button.

Step 8: In the left text box enter the title you wish to see. On the right text box provide the link for the same. When you are done click on Done.

When you click on Done you will notice how it will create a link successfully providing a small image too.

Step 9: Go ahead and check the album art now.

In a similar fashion you can add links for Twitter, Instagram, and other social media platforms.

NOTE: If the Twitter image is not showing simply remove the ‘s’ from https:// and it will work fine. For instagram, there isn’t any fix yet. You can choose to use it in the first link so at least it says Instagram even though it would be without an image.

      Hi,

      Youtube has changed things a lot ever since I had written this article. You can look for the Links option by clicking on Customize Channel button option. Then click on About.

      In that there will be Links section available.

      If you cannot still find the Links option refer to the “If Edit Links Option is Not Present” section of my blog.
